Make sure the S-meter Mode is set to "RF Signal" and not "AGC Level". (in
the "OTHER" menu)

Thanks, Mike. I have that calibration procedure, but the S meter is way high
and I need to put it back to zero when there is no signal present (short out
the ant input). I should have been more explicit in my cry for help.

I can't recall (or find) the way to zero the S meter in my Orion II. I
have the procedure for calibration. Any help?
Thanks,
Troy, W6HV
