[TenTec] Omni VI Question

Hi Everyone,

Today I finished recapping my Omni VI.  While reinstalling the front 
panel I noticed the connector which connects to the RIT/XIT encoder has 
4 pins, but the encoder has 5 pins on it.  Is this "normal", if so; 
which pin on the encoder is not used?  Maybe it's not "normal" and 
someone replaced the encoder with a different one?
