rod,
I never even tried to do anything with computers.
don't know if it does that or not.
I'll leave that to the experts to answer.

Have fun,

Thanks again for the thoughts (Hal).. I'm wondering what software will control
the Paragon via the com port? I checked HRD and N1MM+ and neither has Paragon
listed as transceivers in their lists for radio setup and connection. Perhaps
it would work with the Omni VI selection? I downloaded a manual copy but it
doesn't contain any information about the command set for control. Thanks again

got the power supplies back in operation, so took a shot at the Paragon this
morning and the preliminary results are good. Full operation of all the
controls except I haven't tried the keypad settings on the right yet. Also full
power out on all bands and it sounds good on a second receiver (cw only so far).
Next I will hook it up to an antenna and see how it plays on the air. So far
it was just on a dummy load/power meter. Thanks again for the suggestions.73,

Paragon 585 All, I recently picked up a Paragon at a swap meet. It's really
dirty and probably hasn't been turned on in awhile. Any precautions or
suggestions before (and as) I put power to it and start checking it out?
Condition: One small cut out in the top panel and it has all the filter slots
filled. Looks complete and good otherwise. Thanks and 73,
