I have been keeping up by reading the archives but finally signed back
up to the list since I have better internet. I have not seen anything
about Ten-Tec at Dayton on the list and a web search only had a
paragraph description. I have had most models of Ten-Tec gear over the
years and live a couple hours from Sevierville.
The blurb I read said that the Eagle, Omni VII, etc were on display but
no info was given about possible production dates and that Mr. Dishop
was unhappy with the treatment by the local government in TN as well as
frustrated with issues of parts sourcing for inventory.
I know he got a pig in a poke and since the business was raided and
broken up before he got the remnants that he has a herculean task to
rebuild and I think that he is wise to build it on a cash basis. I just
despair that he will throw his hands up on the whole enterprise,
concentrate on his established business and Alpha and perhaps only do
the commercial side of TT if at all.
I have not seen any post from John Henry in a while and Mr. Dishop has
primarily responded to criticisms. I am not interested in giving him
any advise on running his business. I have had a couple and know the
headaches. I just would like a semi-steady supply of positive news,
even if it is about baby steps.
Anyway, does anyone have any news from Dayton that they care to share?
I was there last year and spoke with Mr. Dishop (he was very nice and
positive) but I had too much on my plate to attend this year and thought
I'd skip being a guinea pig for once with the new venue.
