Another question would be - anyone ever try to replace that connector
with something more rugged?
I also ordered a new-old-stock 1N2979A (big 15V zener) off of Ebay to
replace the big diode where the power comes into the chassis.
Not sure why TenTec didn't do that orginally. The manual says something
about it being there to blow the fuse for reverse polarity - why not
make it a zener and
get an over voltage crowbar too?

Newbie on the list.
I have an Omni-D that I'm currently troubleshooting for flaky
connections that seem to come and go with warmup.
My question to the list is: does anyone know the part number of the
4-pin power connector? With all of my messing around, the plastic
ears on that thing are taking a beating. It looks like a Molex.
