Greetings all,

I have an Omni-C that's been sitting here for a while and probably needs a new
home. It's basically functional, but the PTO needs attention as it's stiffer
than normal and not smooth, there appear to be some of the usual suspects
like the band switch which could probably stand to have the DeOxit treatment,
and like most other rigs this age alignment would probably optimize
operation. Also, the RF attenuator doesn't seem to have an effect: I recall
encountering this issue some years ago on another older TT rig; what I found
in that case was a bad PIN diode on the attenuator board. Right now I'm
listening to the 20M W1AW Code Bulletin with the rig on an indoor antenna and
it sounds almost like a code practice oscillator.

Given the above, would there be any interest in it, and what might it be
worth? It doesn't have the 17 and 12M xtals, but it does have both the 500 Hz
217 and 1.8 KHz 218 filters installed. Other than that, it's a nice looking
rig with no noticeable wear on the front panel. The inside looks to be almost
untouched with the exception of the addition of the filters. I also have the
manual and should be able to come up with a power cord.

Pics available on request. TNX/73, Al
