Hi,
These happened when I worked in Southeastern Minnesota in radio.
In Faribault, MN, WA0SSN called me up one day asking if I could help
with his 160 and 80 meter reception. The station had a Harris MW-5 on
920 KHz. There was an adjustment on the front for harmonics. So I got on
the phone with him one night and tweaked until he said it was much better.
I also had a guy call in Austin, MN. That station had a Harris MW-5B on
970 KHz. Tweaking that one didn't seem to help any unfortunately.

Thanks! I retract my remarks WRT the Heros folk :-)
I'll have to scratch my head/pencil.
There is a temptation for multiple stages to make a 'modern' TRF set!
As for the QRM. There is that one station on 1690kHz that tears me up on
160m. A pre-selector will come in handy for that. Other bands, except maybe
40m, are pretty well taken care of with the big Johnson match box. There is
enough RF on my 80m loop to light an LED. With the scope 1meg input, I see
over 60V.
