One of our club members (W8CR) is a big Tesla fan. Craig built his own Tesla
coil. It's BIG !!!
(And of course it's a real crowd-pleaser whenever he brings it to a meeting or
event)

I agree. I am also a great fan of Tesla. Without Nikola, instead of a.c., we
would probably have d.c. in evey household... and IMO we already have too much
D.C. mixing in with our private lives. ;-) (Kim was right.) 73 - Rick, DJ0IP

Lest we forget… In the late 1890’s, Nikola Tesla proposed that we ionize the
entire rarified upper atmosphere for two purposes. First, it would be a means
to carry significant electric current without wires. Secondly, it would always
be daylight. No more dark alleys and do on… Never mind the impact on sleep
cycles etc. Tesla’s invention of radio had not yet advanced to the point at
which anyone understood about radio wave reflection from upper atmosphere
levels. I am a big Tesla fan but this idea was from the stratosphere! Excuse
that pun too! Gary > On Aug 23, 2016, at 6:18 AM, <km2km@twc.com>

anyone remember Project West Ford (or Project Needles) back in 1961-1963?
Something like 1/2 billion copper needles placed in medium earth orbit to
enhance military communications capability. Oops... > > > > Allen--W7GIF > > >
