*I believe that most of this problem, stems from the fact that the eye sees
Red as much brighter. We know for a fact that the eye has more trouble at
focusing when the color red is involved. This is something that I will look
into for the group later this evening. I believe these digital displays to
be of the LED type. I have yet to see an LED grow dimmer with age. It could
be the voltage to the display digit however. This is something that I will
be very interested in looking into later tonight.*
