Exactly. Everybody has their own preference for the audio pitch. Some like it higher and some lower. Before the days of accurate frequency read-outs nobody was too concerned about it. When I am net control I transmit on VFO-B and use VFO-A to freely move about on the RX frequency. I find that easier than using the RIT. And Net-Control is ALWAYS on frequency hi..hi..

Heck, I’ve been told countless times I’m off frequency. My hearing is shot so i tend to tune SSB in a bit higher pitch than normal.
