Bob, I don't think a field strength measurement would be useful to anyone
except you as long as both antennas are installed at the same time. There's
no telling how much interaction is taking place.
Hanging them in the exact same place, one at a time, and then doing your
measurement would be a darn good idea.
That would tell us a lot about the relative performance of the two antennas.
