I agree, but I put a capacitor in my own circuit just in case.
Belt and suspenders... but that saves me from trying to
read the radio schematic and being mistaken about it.
So I bock the DC in my circuit just to be sure, even though
I am sure you are correct, modern rigs are surely protected
internally as the designers anticipated electret condenser
capsules when they put bias voltage on the jack.
Just MY take.
