Having owned and repaired many of these radios, I do not recall the Paragon
as having "opt 3". To the best of my knowledge and documentation, the only
radio where "opt 3" terminology was used is the Omni VI.
The Paragon does have provisions for optional filters, 3 of them to be
exact. This may be where the "opt 3" term originated with your seller thus
described as "3 optional filters". If you desire these filters, make it
known on this reflector as they are frequently listed for sale. Also there
are several other sites where one can buy filters. Specifically the filter
model numbers are;
1.8 kHz --> 288
500 Hz --> 285
250 Hz --> 282
Although similar in outward appearance, the Paragon, the Paragon II, the
Omni VI and Omni VI Plus are all quite different radios and carry different
model numbers.

Hi Clayton I'm a new Ham I too bought a Paragon transceiver that was
suppose to be opt 3, but what I received was a bare Paragon With no
1800hz,SSB, 500,or 250 CW filters. And the Guy promised me they were in
their along with the Ghiel chip. Any way those spare boards you have will
fit my TT Paragon 585 so maybe I can work out some kind of deal cash or
trade so I can fill the empty slots I'm an old US NAVY Avionics
