| In as much as the glass envelope contains a very high vacuum, as a safety
precaution, most tube companies suggest handling with gloves in the event of
breakage and subsequent implosion.
And one should always wash their hands after eating Southern Fried Chicken,
Bar-B-Que pork and roasted 'possum.

With some music instrument tubes and lamps, and some automobile lamps
(more older than those used at present) it was once fashionable to avoid
touching and leaving greasy finger prints on the glass envelope, and the
usual procedure is to wear cotton gloves when handling those. No big deal,
but it is an easy precaution and keeps the glass clean, in any case.
Is anything like this a consideration with radio linear amp tubes?
