Ha, ha! Hope you don't wait too long! I must have gone through 15 Martins
to get to the ones I have now, and I've not changed them since about 8-10
years now, so I think I'm calling them keepers. I could never find the
right mahogany dreadnought, and there must have been 5-6 of them through
here until I found a local builder (Jeff Robertson) and latched onto one of
his. Now it's my go-to player when I'm playing with the band. Sounds like
you have a couple of nice Guilds. I'm still looking for a possible Gibson
flattop, but nothing has popped up yet that I can't live without. Collings
is right here in town, but there are only a couple of them that I like -
sound tends to be too brittle to my ear. Most folks love 'em.
OK, enough of the off-topic stuff! Fun!

He switched because... while Gibson plays better, Fender pays better.
I am still waiting for my first royalty check from
Guild or Martin ... :-(
Guild Manhattan 170 (custom built Westerly)
Martin D16GTE
Guild D-35NT - (Westerly)
some others.
