Sounds like the filter input that had 8 diodes open took a transient
hit. It is good insurance to physically disconnect your rigs from any
outdoor antennas when not in use. Storms can blow up suddenly when you
are not around to take precautions. Quick connect coax plugs make a
good way to make the station safe in your absence.
