Does TT not still have the 30 day trial period?  That's 30 days to try it
out and, if it doesn'tmeet one's expectation, return it for a full refund
(minus shipping cost both ways.)  Pretty sweet!

One thing to consider: atthe stated prices, you could buy and Eagle and 
try it out. If you find the ergonomics truly distasteful, you could 
probably turn around and sell it (after the end of July) for almost what 
you paid for it.

I went form a Kenwood TS-930S (that I still have) to an Orion II. I 
still like the TS0930S ergonomics better tyan the Orion II's, but 
honestly, the two radios are so different that the comparison my be not 
be fair because the Orion II has the ability to do a lot more.

I have not had the pleasure of operating a TS-590S, but I can tell you 
that TT's ergonomics is all their own. It isn't bad, only different. I 
suspect you will be happy with either one.
