That was an interesting guess.
My next guess is, we're all wrong except for George.
REASON: Guess is like modeling. It proves nothing. EXPERIENCE is
everything and George has lots of that.
My problem is, it will take 6 months or more until we find out and by then I
will have long forgotten what we were all guessing.

I remember when Apple literally cut corners to halve the price of their
cheapest Macintosh Computer. They saved about $100 in retail price by
removing the finely molded square corners and replaced them with cheap, easy
to mold round corners that people did not notice if they were a bit off. In
the end that, and a lot of other cost cutting allowed them to sell a
computer that went for $1000, instead of $2000.
The made a lot of people who had counted on their computers holding their
value, but made far more new customers in the process.
Since everyone is guessing, MY GUESS is that they have already decided on a
new rig they are going to produce and based upon reasonable estimates it
will take 6 months from the day they start building the factory until the
first one goes out the shipping department. So instead of holding on to a
lot of old radios, and trying to keep the new one secret, they have decided
it is better to sell them off now, fulfill some dreams, and turn stock into
cash to help finance the new rig. That way they can announce after the old
ones sell out.
