Jim, that is EXACTLY the decision criteria: the software.
It's not the hardware that is important to the average guy, just the
software.
If everything you ever want to do will be Linux or Mac compatible, then go
for it.
If your hobby "is" computers then you will master anything you want.
But if you want to be open for whatever software application might come
along down the road, there is no way getting around Windows.
Has anyone run N4PY with Linux?
Has anyone written a better rig control program for Ten-Tec radios than
N4PY?
IMO the answer is "no" to both questions; thus it's Carl's fault that we all
have to run windows! (hi)
