In answer to some questions, In my condo I have limited desk space, so it's nice to have everything in one box. I use a Buddipole mounted semi-permanently on our balcony, and the whips extend close to our neighbors, so running an amp is out of the question due to RF concerns. I usually run 50-75 watts but on rare occasions want to crank things up very briefly to 150 watts or so to see if I can nab a (for me) weak DX station—assuming no one's home next door.. In retrospect, probably not a good idea for any manufacturer to try to meet my specific needs! 73, John, W3ULS _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
