Andy,
Go to the TenTec web site, home page, click on cables, the 712 sound
card/serial cable sells for $79. You can probably find less expensive cables
just by visiting Radio Shack. I just didn't want to mess around experimenting
and know TenTec has not only great equipment, but good support, so I sprang for
the cable.
I have heard that some serial to USB cables do not work, but with Radio Shack
you can always return it for a refund.
Bad news, TenTec is out of stock but 'mid May' should have more....and, hey,
it's mid May now so maybe no problem.
