That's why I suggested to BYPASS the tuner in other words put the tuner in
bypass mode. Swapping things around may add another fault not remove a
fault. I've seen too many new components that were defective. New today
only guarantees new, not necessarily good.

Well......I have an old TS-930S and it is working fine through the same
tuner......I did however, try going direct to the Omni V.......and it
had the same problem...

Well...I have hooked the ant...direct, no tuner, to both radio's.....
The 930 works fine...the Omni V still does not work..
