And also try placing a CMC choke (RF-Choke, like beads over coax) directly
at the antenna connection of the Corsair, and plug the antenna into the
other end of the choke. That will most likely stop the problem (not cure
it, just stop it).

Curt, it sounds RF could be getting back into the letter wiring and
triggering it falsely. Did you check the ground wiring.

Sometimes the keyer on my recently purchased Corsair II will go crazy. The
first dit will produce of string of continuous dit dah that can only be
interrupted by turning the radio off. Wondering if others have experienced
similar behavior.
