I have looked at the Ameritron (RF Parts RFC-3) choke and Im not sure it will
fit. I am ordering one, but wanted to see what others have used since this
seems like a common failure. I have 6 Titan 425's here and have 3 of the amps
that need the choke replaced. Most failures have happened on 15 meters.

Subject: Re: [TenTec] RF choke for Titan 425?
Rich, my original (S/N 425-00516) Titan-425, smoked the plate choke right after
I purchased it in May 1990. I believe the replacement is not continuous spacing
but has several sections to avoid a resonance found in the early plate chokes.
See http://www.w8ji.com/rf_plate_choke.htm for plate choke theory, design, and
testing.

What has been used as a replacement choke for the Titan 425? Thanks....
