Whew.... I am glad you said that. I always turn my remote switch to
the dummy load or to a ground buss when shutting the station down...
some of the local rabble chided me for being paranoid and overly cautious.
My only costly blunder ... so far... was to plug a power supply into an
active receive antenna while it was connected to the transceiver, which
blew a couple of safety diodes in the receiver section. The worst bit
is I know better which makes it a self-inflicted wound, and those hurt
the most.
