RYFM....., Read Your F....... (friendly) Manual used to be the requirement
for any competent operator. But the important people don't have the time or
can't understand that technical stuff and just want a one page, double
spaced, list of how to make it work, written at the 8th grade comprehension
level.
This year our FD site problem was most likely caused by overdriving the
OMNI-VI+ to the point the ALC was flashing brightly on every dit. It seems
like that's the problem every year, if the little light isn't coming on
bright enough, turn the knob.

There's two kinds of folks, "those that know what they are doing" and
"those that think they know what they are doing".
Conclusion: If one THINKS they know how to set-up and operate a radio,
best advise, ask someone that KNOWS how to set-up and operate a radio.
Another very new and strange technique........read the manual.
