Barry, I don't understand the question.
Are you referring to the built-in attenuator or my suggested external
attenuator?

Normally the Attenuator has nothing to do with the RX ANT jack.
It is in the line coming from the TR relay and going to the RX input.

What I mean is cut this cable and splice in an external attenuator.

I understand the attenuator output feeds the RX ANT jack, but what is cabled
to the input of the attenuator Rick?
