Well done Scott; CONGRATULATIONS.
You will soon have yourself a fine little radio.
Sure hope I never have to measure all that stuff on my Eagle!

Subject: [TenTec] Some progress made! --Omni D low to no power
Well Rick, you win the prize...you were correct...I could have saved myself
some time had I checked this sooner, of course...I knew I was close when I
injected a 0 dbm signal at the tx mixer output and got full power...the last
stage I checked was the crystal filter...I was going to inject a signal
through it but ended up just looking at the solder joints and put it back in
when I came up for a coffee...I read your post and decided to jumper with
the .01 capacitor and voila....100 watts on the nose!
SO, now to see what I can do with the filter...likely a faulty crystal...not
sure how i will test those but I like the idea of using one of the other TT
filters...lots of room to work.
Many thanks to you and the others for chiming in on this...As always, a
learning experience!...the scope meter really help narrow things down...it
in combo with the little sig gen ruled a lot, fast.
cheers
scott
