I must strongly agree with Rick on data backup.... At this qth, we clone our hard drives to an external closure on a regular basis. I have done this for almost 10 years now, and it has saved our necks more than once!! I also replace the hard drives in our pc's typically every year or year and a half....as cheap as new hard drives are, to my thinking there is simply no excuse not to do so. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Rick - DJ0IP / NJ0IP" <Rick@DJ0IP.de> Sent: Saturday, December 31, 2011 1:36 AM To: "'Discussion of Ten-Tec Equipment'" <tentec@contesting.com> Subject: Re: [TenTec] OT: Old QSTs, CQs, etc. > PLEASE LET ME CLARIFY ONE POINT AND APOLOGIZE FOR MAYBE OFFENDING SOME > PEOPLE... > > When I said in my post below "stupid enough" I was ONLY referring to > people > who do not back up data on hard drives, not to people who do not keep > multiple copies of CDs or DVD. > > It is not a well know fact that CDs and DVDs suffer from drop out.
