John, besides on line digital modes tutorials you may find with a Google search, There are sites that have audio samples of various digital modes. There are many now, so you may have something on Waterfall and it might be anything. But, if you listen to its audio there are certain sounds unique to various digital formats. Piccolo for example sounds somewhat like the musical instrument. The waterfall signature of some modes may differ enough that you could also visually identify them with practice. Good Luck and 73, Stuart Rohre K5KVH _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
