I would rather receive that correspondence direct from the company, and not
through a mail list. The creation of a mail list among private individuals
does not invoke a duty on the manufacturer to monitor and respond to tens or
hundreds of messages being broadcast on a given day.
If I owned a manufacturing company, I would rather have my management team
managing company productivity rather than monitoring lists all day long. As
a customer, I would rather have the management team managing company
productivity rather than monitoring lists all day long.
Some products and vendors have several mail lists. Some are hosted by
contesting.com, some are on Yahoo, some are on other mail hosting services.
I'm not sure where this notion evolved that company representatives must
respond to mail list messages. If you have a question or concern, simply
contact the company. In the case of TT, you'll get an immediate response.
