CW Items For Sale -- Keyer Paddles, Keyers, etc.
TenTec KR-20 A Single Paddle Electronic Keyer:
The KR-20 A is a single paddle keyer with the paddle
actuation force factory adjusted. It is basically the
same as a KR-5 A keyer, with the addition of a 110 V AC
power supply.
Contact spacing adjustments are on the front. The weighting
factor is factory set for optimum smoothness and articulation.
An Over-ride "straight key" is conveniently located on the
top for emphasis, QRS sending or tune-up. It has reed relay
output and a side-tone generator with adjustable level.
117 VAC or 6-14 V DC. Finished in an etched aluminum panel
and black textured top and sides that matches the TenTec
Triton IV and others of similar vintage.
This particular unit works fine and looks extremely nice.
It has had a 1/4 inch jack added to the left side so that
an external paddle can be used if desired.
Paper work for the KR-5 A is included for $45.
MFJ 8043 Electronic Keyer:
This is an electronic keyer that uses the Curtis 8043
Keyer IC. It has speed, weight, tone, and volume adjustments.
It is capable of fully automatic or semiautomatic (like
a bug) operation. Also, it can emit a solid "key down"
for tuning up. It works with tube or solid state transceivers.
It has sidetone with a front panel volume and tone control.
Weighting is adjustable from the front panel. It can be powered
via four internal C cells or an external 6 to 9 volt DC
power supply.
The styling of this unit is the wood grain and eggshell color
that TenTec used with their early equipment. TenTec made the
enclosure for MFJ, so it is an exact match.
This particular unit looks really great, and of course
it works. Paper work is included for $35.
TenTec KR-2 A Vintage Keyer Paddle:
The KR-2 A keyer paddle dates to the 1960's and 70's. It
is a keyer paddle only -- no electronics. The styling is
wood grain and eggshell that matches the early TenTec equipment.
The KR-2 A also has a a button on the top (known as over
ride switch) that can be used as a straight key, or to tune
up a tuner, or whatever you might want to use it for.
This is the same paddle mechanism that TenTec used in the
KR-5 and KR-20 keyers.
In addition, there is a heavy weight in it, to keep in in
place, so you do not need to chase it across your operating
table. It would be a great match with the MFJ 8043 keyer above.
This one works fine, looks good, and even includes the
single sheet instruction manual for $25.
MFJ 407 B Electronic Keyer:
This is an electronic keyer that uses the Curtis 8044 ABM
Keyer IC. It has TONE, VOL, WEIGHT and SPEED adjustments.
It is capable of fully automatic or semiautomatic (like
a bug) operation. Also, it can emit a solid "key down"
for tuning up. It works with tube or solid state transceivers.
It has sidetone with a front panel volume and tone control.
Weighting is adjustable from the front panel. Iambic switch
on the back selects Iambic keyer mode. It can be powered
via an internal 9 v battery or an external power supply.
This particular unit looks really great, and of course
it works. Paper work is included for $40.
MFJ 1312 Wall Wart power supply
This unit provides 12 V DC at 500 ma. It has a small 2.5
mm male plug, and is often used for keyers, lighting tuner
lights, and other small misc jobs where 12 V DC at low
current is needed. $10
