I've had mine for 6 years, and it's a great driver for the 1208  
transverter.  Unlike a 100-watt rig, it won't blow the 1208 even if you  goof 
and run 
full power.

Depends upon what mode you're using. If you are using  AM, the filter
automatically doubles the bandwidth. if you are into CW, a  combination of
PBT and filter will work quite well. I have used the V for  nearly 9 years,
and it is a great rig. Good Field Day rig for CW.
