A last resort might be to find an old recording mike body, or even an
old ham desk mike body into which you can fit the TT elements. Unless
the TT body has tuned back porting, it likely will work fine in another
case. Most of these modern mikes are simple electret elements anyway.
Another mike body easy to find are computer mikes.
The secret to preserving modern ham radio mikes is to not have an
operating desk near the sun streaming in a window, nor near a source of
heating, etc. Of course, not smoking around plastics keeps them from
yellowing. Wrapping a mike in bubble paper to transport it also
preserves soft plastics.
