Barry,
The reason I purchased the Corsair was to get rid of a DDS. I would not
want to ruin a perfectly good receiver by adding more digital noise/spurs to
it. I have other rigs which have a DDS in them if I want to listen to the
noise. :-) I am currently looking at a replacement for the Corsair II display.
It may also fit the Corsair I. However, I don't have enough info on how the
Corsair I works. Anyone have a manual I could look at?

No, I wouldn't assume your 68705 is going to fail anytime soon. If it
did, you could either:
1. purchase a parts rig to have spare boards on hand OR
2. replace the PTO with DDS VFO which could drive a freq. display directly
