The catalogs tend to show them by the outside dimensions, not the
mounting holes. MCM Electronics has a very wide selection of speakers,
but their search engine didn't help thin down 3500 hits for speaker to
find oval (no hits). I've always used an external speaker with my
radios, including my Corsair II because very few modern internal
speakers show off the high quality of the radio, most make it sound bad.
Were I to insist on replacing the speaker in my Corsair where the size
is not commonly available, I'd strongly consider buying a round speaker
that would fit in the space and then making an aluminum adapter plate to
fit the original mounting holes and to hold a new miniature speaker like
is a part of most computers.
I also checked Mouser, Digikey, Jameco, Marlin P. Jones, and Allied.
Mouser and Digikey had a 50 x 90 mm but the link to the maker's data
sheet locked up, didn't download. There was a hint on one that the part
had been discontinued.
