I am not qualified to answer the old/new mix question, ... but I can state unequivocally the model 963 switching power supply is extremely quiet and produces no RF hash, noise, or other EMI/RFI interference. I use a much larger linear supply to run my HF transceiver, and I use the Model 963 power supply to operate all of accessories, police scanner, short wave radio, 2-meter mobile and other jazz in the shack, 24/7 with no problems whatsoever. As an avid shortwave listener, I listen all over the bands for all kinds of signals and have no unwanted noise from that power supply at any frequency. Happy days to you. ======================== JHR ======================== On 12/12/2010 7:27 PM, Chris Wagner wrote: > How quiet is the switching ps? > _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
