Maybe Paul could start a thread for the solution for checking all those things such as splatter, clean signal such as people that are blind. go for it. 73

I'm sure we could debate Corsair vs Corsair II, or Paragon vs Paragon
II, or Omni V vs Omni VI, or Tentec vs Inrad filters, and the affect of
the particular radio on their performance vs building your own 27 pole
crystal filters, or CW vs SSB (few Tentecs transmit AM so we have to
leave that mode out of the argument) or Orion software version 2.044g vs
1.078B with equal ferocity and interest. Clearly you don't believe a
scope is a handy way to a clean signal and to general radio
troubleshooting, but it truly is a most versatile tool better than all
the ALC LEDs and wattmeters in the world for detecting and preventing
SSB transmitter splatter. Perhaps someone will trigger one of those
other debate by asking which is better to acquire?

I hope that soon you engineers can put aside the subject of Oscilloscopes and get on another subject.
