There was a mod that tentec added to the finals section to stop a high current situation on 6 meters. But this mod came out shortly after the Omni VII starting shipping so I would assume you have it. The mod was just the addition of a capacitor.

Subject: [TenTec] Omni VII Six Meter Problems

I have a Omni VII that is about 2 years old. It just started having
problems on 6 meters SSB...On SSB it starts spurring and of course the
SWR jumps up to 9:1 or so. On CW and FM modes it works fine and the SWR
is around 1.2 to 1. I can see the spurs on a spectrum analyzer I have in
the shack. The rig works fine into a dummy load which is a perfect
match. I am just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. I
understand that their may be some factory mods out there that could
address this issue but I don't know this is a fact. Gary at TT is out on
vacation this week...

Thanks for any comments
