I know how you feel, but there are a number of vision options - you can try
a lot of different magnifications or go to an optometrist and make sure
you're clear about what you want to do. If that can't be fixed with lenses,
then something else could be going on (cataracts are common) that might need
attention.
As for the shaking, the key is in resting as much of your hand as possible
somewhere where it can be steadied so its not your whole arm that's shaking.
Correcting the vision should help you in your effort to control the shake,
too.
Anybody ever have success in finding a young person interested in learning
by doing?

I know this request is kind of off subject, but it does relate to my Ten
Tec rigs.
I have moved into the age of senior citizenry! As you all know, things
begin to go. I can not remember what went 1st.
I have several pieces of equipment that needs repair. I tried yesterday
to do some testing and minor soldering and learned that 2 of the thing
of youth have gone. 1. I can not see good enough to get into the
components to put a probe on a test point, and 2. I tremble to the point
if I could see the test point I couldn't hold my hand steady enough to
keep the probe on it, or make a solder joint.
Is there anyone on this list that does repair work? If so, please
contact me off list.
