Not sure who originally posted the question about the mounts.I apoligize for
thinking it was a bracket type.So my reply to the original poster..Go to
e-bay(i know that raised some eyebrows, sorry) search under radio hump
mounts. There are quite a number that might work or at least give you a
idea..john

If someone had a photo of one of the TenTec ones I am sure I could fab one
up.
Looking at the Radio I don't see any "extra" holes to use a mounting
points, but a "bucket" style one is a different animal.

John,
Yes, the "pan bracket" was a clever low cost item. You could replicate
it with an aluminum cookie pan, and then a U bracket upside down for the
attachment to the lip of the pan and to the underdash area.
Some folks prefer to tilt mount the Scout facing up on the transmission
hump where you don't have a console part. You can fashion a box of wood
with a simple hold down to hold the Scout. I have even seen use of
Bungee cords around the radio, if you have holes drilled to have the
feet set down and provide a slide free retention of the radio feet.
The cords make a quick release to enable locking the rig in the trunk
when the car is parked, or others use a towel to cover the radio so that
it is out of sight. A grey towel does not show dirt as much as a white
towel would and worked for years for a ham friend.
