John:
Is there any possibility of a firmware upgrade for the "original" Orion?

Subject: [TenTec] Various Orion 2 Releases
Just to pass some information along.
I have been receiving emails from some people who prefer the 2.044A NR
over the 2.043B NR for various reasons.
I have also been receiving emails from some people who prefer the
2.043B NR over the 2.044A NR for other reasons.
What works well in one type of a noise environment may not work well in
another.
That to me is the second biggest advantage of owning a TenTec Orion 2
transceiver.
You have the ability to choose versions of the firmware that work
better for your situation.
The first biggest advantage is the HW, of course.
I know most companies handle this type of change or upgrade in the
form of a new transceiver.
I also appreciate everyones patience in waiting for problems to be
resolved. I understand it has been a long hard road, and really isn't
over yet.
ok, I've said enough,
Now go and enjoy the Orion 2, OMNI-VII, Jupiter, Omni-VI, Scout, etc.
whatever you use,
