     That is the real-world info I need.  Hopefully, I can learn the subtle 
differences before
buying and avoid disappointment later.
     Can I assume you are talking about an OMNI VI and not a plus??

The noise blanker in the Omni VI filtered out a recent line noise from a bad 
lightning arrestor, while the Paragon 2 did not.

   I have a chance to buy a nice Paragon II.  How does the noise blanker compare
o the OMNI V and later rigs?  I had an OMNI VI+ and thought the NB was great 
n my noise.
