I haven't used the K3 on 160, but at K5GO used it on 80 meters with an
assortment of beverages, a 4-square and a single vertical. Diversity reception
proved very helpful. That's something we sadly can't get out of an Orion.
It (diversity reception) really make a difference for me.

If you use the subreceiver often on the low bands, I think you might
feel differently. The Orion subreceiver just can't handle the huge
dynamic range typically found on low band cw.
