>From my viewpoint, it depends largely on the primary rig. The Omni VI
Plus is an excellent CW rig along with the Paragon II if you wish to have a
general coverage receiver. And then of course there is the "investment"
factor as to how much you intend to spend for a back-up rig.
I prefer one that my accessories for the primary rig work equally well with
the back-up rig with no change in connectors required. This includes, power
supply although I have a 2nd power supply and then the mike and paddle and
any other options such as filters and etc.

Subject: [TenTec] Back-up rig opinion
I am looking to add another back-up rig to the shack. 100% operation is CW.
I am considering a Omni VI or Jupiter. What does everyone recommend?
