As I understand this is necessary to fix whatever it was they broke in
the previous release. Which I think nicely proves my point about why
Ten-Tec will not do that it's a lesson they probably learned with V1.xxx
and V2.xxx. I think it will become more common though, especially at the
consumer level. If people are happy with it. Tinkerers, yes, appliance
ops who want what their buddy says is a great rig, maybe, guys who want
to pay and go, possibly not. Don't get me wrong I have been following
the K3 story since the Visalia launch and am almost decided to get one.
I do like a lot of the things about the radio I'm not sure though that I
can really feel comfortable with a radio that gets better incrementally
until after what, 5, maybe ten years from now it is where my
expectations are today. That would just make me grumpy.
I work for a small part of a very large organisation whose ethos is
'right FIRST time' but then the military don't like to be beta testers
as a rule. I'm still curious to know how they are going to make all this
software engineering effort pay.
