TenTec HF transceiver and CW related items For Sale:
TenTec Scout 555 HF transceiver
The TenTec Scout is a nice, small, compact 50 Watt output radio
for both CW and SSB. It was made to be simple to operate, and
easy to run mobile, if that is desired. It features TenTec's great
full break in QSK on CW, and has really great low distortion
audio on SSB. Of course it has digital readout.
This unit features a "Jones Filter" which permits one to vary the
bandwidth from about 2400 Hz for SSB down to about 300 Hz
for CW. This is continuously variable with a pot, so it can be
adjusted to suit band conditions very easily. No need to buy
extra filters for this rig! It does need 13 V DC at about 10 amps.
Since the rig is small, it does not even have a band switch.
Instead it uses "modules" for each band. These modules
plug into the front of the unit. To change bands, one simply
pops one module out, and plugs another in. Only takes a
couple seconds. It can cover from 160 thru 10 meters,
including the WARC bands, by using the proper module.
This particular rig works fine, and looks really great. It
includes a power cord, manual, and one non-WARC band
module of your choice. Other accessories are available
separately below. $200
The person buying the rig gets first choice on any
accessories, including the band modules.
I have band modules for 160, 80/75, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12,
and 10 meters. Additional non-WARC band modules are
$55 each if purchased with the rig, or $65 if purchased
separately. WARC band modules are $5 additional.
TenTec 297 noise blanker for the 555 Scout

Nice clam shell type of mount in very good condition.
$45 with rig, or $50 separately.

rigs with the 4 pin connector. Works fine and looks
close to new. With paper work for $30

Similar to cable for paddles, but has a mono 1/4 inch
phone plug on it, as is used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $5
MFJ 422 B electronic keyer
This keyer includes sidetone, and has adjustments for
volume, tone frequency, and weighting, as well as speed.
It will key either positive or negative voltages, and is
powered by an internal 9 V battery, or external 5 to 9
volt supply.
It is made to go on the back of a Bencher Paddle.
It works 100%, and looks great also. With paper
work for $45.
Heavy duty power supply
Pyramid PS-35
This supply is good for 32 Amps Constant or 35 Amps Surge.
The output voltage is adjustable over a 12 to 15 volt range
with a multi turn pot. It has crowbar over voltage protection,
short circuit & thermal protection and features a pair of nice
large edgewise meters to measure output voltage and output
current. There is an internal fan. This is a very healthy, heavy
duty supply!
This particular unit works 100% and looks very close to new.
