Digital software for such modes as CW, RTTY, PSK31 use a waterfall system to
display signals. one can then click on the individual signals to read the
message. MixW, Digipan, etc are fun to use if only to be able to read
digital modes. i use MixW for CW, my favorite and only mode presently. MixW
has a list of digital modes and CW that baffles me. try it, you may like it!

Subject: [TenTec] Orion II upgrade
Hi All , I have just seen the product status page update witch says there
will be a major update in Sept/ Oct.for the OII Great !It also mentions a
AGC upgrade Please make it easier for the none tech ham to figure out and
use. I was just given a Kenwood 940 yesterday to be used at another
location and I made more contacts with it than my OII ? I can't figure
out how to use the damn High cut /low cut or the AGC for best rx of a
particular signal with the OII .
There was also mentioned a waterfall display to be added to the OII
Great ! can anyone tell me where to look to learn how to interpret a
waterfall display ? I Couldn't be happier with the announcement of
upgrades and I would like to see if TT could make the radio a little
simpler to use and understand When I stumble upon the right tuning of the
knobs the radio sounds sweet and can't be beat ! but it takes me so long
to get there ! I am not complaining just asking for a little help
understanding the use of my race car of a transceiver . thanks for
reading John Molenda kb2huk
I have my Ten Tec OII for over a Year .
