Dan:
This might sound disconnected, but have you tried cleaning the power
supply connectors on the back of the rig and from the supply?
All manner of flaky symptoms can be cleared up by doing this, including
some you would never think to be related to dirty power connections.
Certainly worth a try. Surprised me a few times...
