Hmm . . . I don't think expecting a board that was due out "in a few
months" to actually be available three years later is really whining.
My friend, as I said, has an engineering background, and he was having a
tough time deciding between an Orion2 and another rig in the same
general price class (don't remember which one). The promise of the
sweep board was the final point that tipped him in favor of the
Orion2. The other rig, I think, had a real-time scope built in, but the
02 had that rig beat in many other specs important to him. My friend is
out of the country now, but he does sometimes monitor this board.
Perhaps, he'll decide to post himself when he gets back. For all I know
he's reading this thread from his current DX location.
